Hydrophilic, chemically resistant, and low adsorption; suitable for protein samples, HPLC samples, and oil-water emulsion separation.
Hydrophilic PVDF membranes exhibit significantly lower protein adsorption than nylon and nitrocellulose membranes. This is critical for the filtration of biological samples such as protein solutions, culture media, and vaccine formulations, effectively re
Benefiting from high porosity and an asymmetric pore structure, hydrophilic PVDF membranes achieve excellent flux at relatively low operating pressure.
Inheriting the chemical inertness of the PVDF substrate, the hydrophilic-modified membrane remains resistant to most common organic solvents, acidic and alkaline solutions, and many oxidizing media, with an applicable pH range of 1–14.
The membrane provides efficient retention of bacteria and particulates, meeting the stringent requirements of sterile filtration and sterilizing-grade applications.
Hydrophilic PVDF membranes feature a significantly reduced surface contact angle, allowing aqueous solutions to wet the membrane surface directly without prior wetting with alcohol-based reagents. The membrane utilizes an asymmetric pore structure with no additional support layer, maintaining mechanical strength while minimizing the introduction of extractables during filtration.
Through R&D and extensive field testing, we’ve developed a portfolio of UNM™ hydrophilic PVDF membranes designed to fit many filtration applications. We also offer membrane discs in custom sizes for diverse applications.
